Tour Description
Come to Cape Tribulation, in the Daintree Rainforest and experience an adventure in taste. We offer an Exotic Fruit Tasting and Orchard Tour every day at 2 pm. Taste a menu of ten different tropical fruit, learn how to prepare and eat the fruit, and then walk through our permaculture orchard which has more than 2000 fruit trees from the Amazon, Borneo and the Caribbean.
Exotic tropical fruit comes in all shapes and sizes – some are hairy, others have bumps or sharp spikes. Often the most unusual fruit turns out to be the most delicious. We offer you fruit with names like ‘chocolate pudding fruit’ and ‘crème caramel’.
Here are some of the fruit we grow – abiu, black sapote, breadfruit, carambola, canistel, chempadek, durian, grumichama, , jaboticaba, jackfruit, mamey sapote, marang, mangosteen, pommelo, rambutan, rollinia, roseapple, santol, salak, sapodilla, soursop, sweetsop.
